The newly-established Worldwide Philatelic Observatory wishes you a Happy and Successful New Year 2015, and looks forward to developing with you a mutually beneficial cooperation. Indeed, WPO aims, for the most part, to:

•  Provide an international stamp sales market monitoring service to official stamp issuing authorities, philatelists and stamp collectors, as well as to other interested stamp industry partners and organisations,

•  Analyze stamp industry abusive practices that impact negatively on a nation's image and its integrity, in order to defend and preserve the stamp as the «Miniature ambassador» of the stamp issuing nation and its cultural heritage,

•  Advise, especially developing countries, to implement best practices for their entire stamp business value chain in order to independently manage, market and promote their philately,

•  Serve as a focal information centre for philatelists and stamp collectors requiring confirmation about the authenticity of the stamps they have acquired or wish to acquire.
