Global UPDATE of the PWO Members List (April 2023)

The PWO member list is the most important tool used on the PWO website to display the names of its members and allow access to their websites.
In the last 10 years or so, I have chosen Google Sheets for this, an easy-to-use, very widespread and apparently reliable utility. Unfortunately, I found that a regrettable error somehow crept in from the outside. This led to the fact that most of the links in the table were compromised and, consequently, I had to manually correct each link separately, a laborious task for the hundreds of links published in the table.
I took advantage of the fact that I had to go through each record in the table to check which links still work, something that was only partially done during the more than 20 years since PWO existed. I managed to recover, searching the web, a lot of links to the sites of our members.
With all this great effort, a lot of sites, and therefore members, were lost in this process, namely about 17 percent, which is regrettable but understandable, considering the known variability of web sites and the long time since PWO is active on the web.
I believe that the updating, although it required a special effort, was successful, now PWO presenting itself with an updated list of its members and in accordance with the statutes of PWO. I reiterate the request to PWO members to notify me at victor dot manta at gmail dot com of changes related to the records in the Members List, reminding them that our statutes require that PWO members present philatelic sites that can be accessed on the web. They can alternatively use the form mentioned above.
