PWO LOGO CONTEST AND RESULTS
Our new logo contest closed the 16 September 2001.
The participation was good, with 25 valid entries.
The big winner of the first and of the second place
was
our PWO member from the USA, Mr. Ron Rice. The third place went to Mr. Max Derouen from France. Congratulation to the winner and thanks a lot to all
participants!
The new logo has already replaced the old one throughout the
PWO site. We ask all PWO members to put
it on their sites on visible places, and to link it
to the PWO site ( http://pwmo.org ). TIA.

The decision of our members is definitive. All submitted designs belong automatically to the PWO and should not be used or copyrighted by others.

The Basler Taube sheet was issued by Switzerland in 1995. It displays the renown Dove of Basle stamp, issued 150 years earlier, and a view of Basle. The image of the sheet was reduced to about a half. The Romanian sheet reproduces a painting of the Italian master Marco Liberi. It was issued in 1969, together with a set of five values (that are not shown, but which will be also offered, Sc. 2088 - 2093).
